# Roles and permissions
> What owners, admins, members and billing admins can do in an IronBee account.
Everyone in an IronBee account has one role. The account's creator is its **Owner**. Owners and admins [invite teammates](/console/team) and choose their roles.
| Role | For |

| **Owner** | The person who created the account. There is one owner |
| **Admin** | People who manage integrations, projects and the team |
| **Member** | People who work with verification runs and results |
| **Billing Admin** | People who manage the account's billing |

## What each role can do

| View projects, verifications, analyses, findings and recommendations | Everyone |
| Use Search, and manage your own profile, OAuth tokens and visual settings | Everyone |
| Read project settings: environments, variables and secret names | Everyone |
| Run an instant verification | Owner, Admin, Member |
| Change project settings: verification type, environments, variables and secrets | Owner, Admin |
| Create, archive and unarchive projects | Owner, Admin |
| Connect and manage integrations, and use **Getting started** | Owner, Admin |
| View, copy and rotate the account API key | Owner, Admin |
| Invite and remove teammates, and change their roles | Owner for everyone; Admin for members and billing admins |
| Rename the account | Owner |
| Manage the [plan and billing](/console/pricing) | Owner, Billing Admin |
Nobody can change their own role, and the owner role can't be given to someone else. On the [Team](/console/team) page, the owner's role shows as a plain **Owner** label, and the role picker for other members offers **Admin**, **Member** and **Billing Admin**.
